About Pit bull Tires
Tire Mart, Inc. has been distributing innovative products for more than half a century and Pit Bull Branded products are simply an extension of their commitment to innovation, quality and integrity. They are committed to introducing new quality products to the market via our wholesale business and private brands. Tire Mart, Inc. has been in the same family for over 75 years and because they are an American family-owned business, they do their best to have all of their Pit Bull products designed & made here in the United States. I also work with Braven Offroad Tires, an extension of the Tire Mart, Inc. brand.
What I do
For this client I create event materials (large banners, flags, tent graphic design, display mock-ups, promotional invites and the occasional graphic car wrap). Print (magazine spreads and posters for events), Company SWAG (tshirts, hat design, stickers, etc.), website assets (photo editing for new products, header images and website banners), and Social media advertisements for sales and event promotion. For the overall style of the design I like to use a clean font over grunge look and background.
SEMA & event materials
The SEMA Show is an annual trade show in Las Vegas where specialty automotive industry exhibitors and buyers come together to conduct business. Around 70,000 buyers from every segment of the specialty equipment industry attend every year.
As a participant, Pitbull Tires needs various printed and web based adverts to promote their products. For SEMA and smaller offloading events I have created a plethora of different materials. These being: flags & banners, tents, display mock-ups, brochures, social media awareness, stickers, posters, promotional invites, the occasional car wrap and more!
Print materials
Most of what I do for Pitbull Tires is web based, however there is the occasional need for printed materials. These include event posters, promotional invites and magazine ads. However companies are slowly moving away from this format in favor of online marketing which is sometimes cheaper and is a measurable way to track how your products are being received.
Social Media
This is the most frequent project I receive, which is creating social media friendly advertisements for various sales and promotions. They have to be built to specific dimensions and a few sites restrict the amount of text an ad is allowed to display, so that play a part in the construction and layout of the final piece. I like to keep the font and colors choices cohesive to create a brand consistency. The brand also portrays a tough off-road identity which is reflected in the dark and grungy textures.
Website assets
In addition to social media ads I also create their web based assets. These consist of photo editing products, creating featured product header banners. For the photo editing I will received a folder of RAW shots of the products and have to go in and remove the background and clean up the image to make it presentable for the online shop.
Company SWAG
Every company needs their in house promotional SWAG. For pitfall I have worked on various t-shirt designs, hats, metal pins and various stickers.
